Almost didn't bother to post this, but figured "why not?"
Needed to get my 3yo out of the house on Monday, so took the boat up to Beaver for an hour. Beautiful day. One boat coming in as we were going out and a few people on the shore at the park. The incoming boat said they'd had a few hits, but that was all. Cruised out to the middle of the lake where it's deepest dropped my daughters line with some PB on it. I tried casting a small silver spinner for a bit, but couldn't manage my pole and my daughter at the same time while she "reorganized" my tacklebox, so switched to a little PB myself, so we could sit and play while waiting for bites. The wind came up and blew us towards shore, so covered quite a bit of middle lake territory while trying to stay in the deeper water. It started getting cold and more windy, so wrapped things up after an hour without any hits. Trolled a blue and silver rapala back to the launch without any hits. We had a nice boat ride.
