Boy oh Boy what a tough catching trip. Started in the lower lake on Saturday due to the fog. It was so thick that trolling along the shoreline I nearly ran the boat ashore not once but 2 times..had 3 duck hunters come by the boat wondering if we could help them with where they were at..They had Launched below the Pens and had motored all the way down to pump 3 before they realized that they actually had gone the wrong way..

I trolled Rapalas and my Beaded Wooley Bugger Fly to finally get our fish..Once the fog lifted it was after 10:30 am. Motored to the lower Pens and managed to get 1 trolling. The weather turned out absolutely beautiful but the fishing was down right ugly..Blue fin Loui and his wife got into the fish early and what I was told was the bite was decent earlier in the morning at the pens. I do think that we missed the bite today due to not being able to get up to the Pens. My Dad always used this saying when we would bang fish 1 day and nothing the next...Chicken 1 day feathers the Next.
Tight lines to all and be safe..
