Made a short trip to RW today, spent about 4 hours poking around. Launched at the Corp Launch at Chief Joe and fished up stream to the Cabin Hole. Hit various spots and only brought to boat two (2) fish. One trout around three pounds and a 6 inch yellow perch. Both were released to grow a little. A few hits on the B-2 squid but no hook-up on it. Cast and trolled about all I had in the boat. If I'd had some bait with me, I'd plunked a bit. Most action for me was in the pump #3 area, but did have follows down around pump #1. Spoke with a couple of boaters, one of the boats had caught a couple of fish trolling around the launch area, and the other boat hadn't caught anything. Water temp 60-61 degrees. A beautiful day to be out, but slow for the catching today.
Stay safe on the water, and enjoy the beautiful weather.

Hey Lewis, As always...Thanks for the reports. Some times you get the bull and some times you get the horns. It looks like we'll be done with our remodel just after Thanksgiving and I just might be able hit the big RW this late fall/early winter. Leave me a couple of fish will ya???

Hey Dave, the ole "bear" chewed me up on that trip, but next trip I'll have my good luck charm (fishin partner) with me and my luck will change. LOL Sorry dude, I haven't received any "emails". If ya have time shoot me a PM. Thanks for the posting.

BigD That's impressive that you're getting that close with your remodel project. And the fishing situation should be much improved by then. I think I'll make another run up to the pens area to try out a few new ideas. I don't think you have any worries on the fish population from my "prowess". LOL
Can't wait for your future reports.

Hi ya Andy, Hope to run into ya on the water sometime. RW is a nice place to hang out. sometimes I get focused on "gotta catch fish" and miss the other stuff at RW. during the spring and summer we would watch a pair of eagles nesting, then the little guys growing up, and this last trip saw 3 pair of eagles along the shoreline. Cool stuff.
Take care and stay well
