So I launched at 6:15am, cloudy skies, water temp around 64. Last time on the lake, about a month ago, i caught several smallies on crankbait and curly tails. This time nothing on either. So I targeted largemouth and threw more spinners and senkos. Caught several largemouth and smallies, nothing real huge though, the biggest largemouth about 1.5 pounds. The catch of the day was definitely the pink. She bit on my spinner, unfortunately she was bleeding and quickly dieing by the time I got her in. I CP&R all fish I catch, unless they are dead, which unfortunately was going to the case with this one. She weighed in at 5lbs 1oz. I was very surprised because I am not sure how it even got into Black Lake?

I am pretty sure that fish you are holding is a bow, not a pink salmon. Big rainbow at that, nice job!

I thought rainbow as well but the meat was pink and not white...

Ok, after further googling, looks like native trout can have pink meat, depending on their forage. While most stocked trout will have white meat. Perhaps it was a rainbow then. That's the biggest trout I have ever seen, take that for what it's worth considering I am a bass fisherman. :-)
