Fishing here on Lake Chelan remains very good for Laketrout and once in a while you get lucky and get one of our "Gems" of the Lake, a Summer Chinook.

I have been Fishing mainly in the Lower Basin of Lake Chelan but my season for Rufus has begun so I will be posting photos from Rufus in the near future..

Try trolling Flies at Rufus Woods on the surface very slow and if this doesn’t work for you , try tossing a 1/8th oz. Black Marabou Jig to the shore and retrieve it with a jigging motion..This is a deadly technique for these triploids..

I have been fishing at Rufus for over 14 yrs. for these Triploid Rainbows. I am so excited now that I am on my own with Lake Chelan Adventures..My innovative Techniques have proven to be effective while fishing this reservoir..Feel free to give me a call or an email on questions or comments anytime..Check out my website for recent photos and reports..

Great numbers in the 8-12 inch range, a few up to3#. just don't target the LMB. May have to give it a try though.

Cool, thanks Joe. I'm putting together my new Kayak and I have a Scotty Depthmaster downrigger for it. Gonna try it out up there last weekend of September. Hopefully the weather will still be warm!
