Took my daughter bass fishing this morning at Panther Lake. My buddy on the lake lent us his boat of use, it was her first time ever trying for bass...we fished the east shoreline and got 10-12 largemouth bass over a period of 2 hours. The boated fish were 8-13 inches long, and we missed as many as we got. All bass were released safely as usual. I think my daughter is hooked...literally. By the end of the day she was even holding her own fish. Her casts got better every minute, and she even learned how to play a fish. She hooked about a 2.5 pounder early, but lost it right next to the boat because she just kept reeling (a bit nervous on her fist good bass, she reeled the worm hook right into the rod tip). Once that fish got leverage it was off. But there was great improvement in her fishing as the morning moved on. Fun times...now I got to keep her interested. After fishing Lake Loma this morning maybe I'll take her there for some constant action.
