I didn't expect to catch many fish. My first cast, I caught a 7 inch smallmouth bass. From 6:30 to 8:45 pm I caught several smallmouths the largest being just over 13 inches, a few small bluegill(6 inches or less), one very small largemouth, and a few rock bass with one being almost 15 inches long. Although only a few of the fish had any size, it was still fun fishing. All of the fish were caught and released off of the dock.

It had a huge belly as well. The second largest rock bass I caught there was 7.5 inches, not too big.

15" rockbass.........doubt it. That would probably be a state record. State record is only 1.38 pounds.

Darn, I guess next time I will keep it. I knew it was very large, but not record large because I consistently catch 7 inch and smaller rock bass during this time of the year at Long lake in Olympia. The largest rock bass I have caught at Long has been around 9-10 inches at the most.
