WOW!! What a day at St. Clair. First time here...... drove an hour to get here...... and got skunked. I did catch one thing.......a SUNBURN!! No Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, Sunfish, Rockbass, Minnows, Tadpoles, or Trout. Oh yeah, after five hours of fishing, I was trolling back to the launch to call it a day and hooked into a trout, BUT, the little devil jumped a foot out of the water and spit the hook out. Never landed it.......got skunked.

The lake is absolutely beautiful with lots of different arms, coves, docks, sunken trees, brush and lily pads. The lake is also very deep in some spots. I found a couple of areas were the water was 60 feet deep, and my map of the lake tells me there are spots 110 feet deep. I do believe there is definitely a lot of fish in there. Unfortunately for me, I probably picked one of the worst weeks to try this lake for the first time, due to the consistantly hot tempertures and warm water. I will wait until the end of summer or early fall before I try this lake again.
