Hit up the lake primarily to de-salinize the boat after a less than satisfying trip to area 10 this morning. I launched a bit after 7:00pm and headed to the sand bar at the mouth of the Cedar to scrub down the boat. I finished about 7:45 and at that time the weather turned and it began to rain sporadically. I put down a mini hoochie and flasher combo and began trolling towards the South end of Mercer Island. Wasn't long before Mr. Kokanee came a callin' and managed to self release near the boat, looked to be about 12". Around 8:30 got a viscious stike and the line began to peel off the reel. I thought I might have hooked a chinook by the way it stayed down and ran, but eventually it came to the boat and I scooped up a nice 19" cutt going around 3 lbs. This fish had a nice belly bulge so if you followed my posts from last year you can guess what comes next. Check the forum for further details. Surface temps were quite warm, 76 degrees, which was one of the factors in my decision to keep the fish. I was trolling between 50' and 25' down and both fish hit the lure around 30'.
