We put in at the DNR at around 7am. Caught three nice size SM within 10 minutes. ( Just to the right of the Dock).
We stayed on the lake for about 3 hours today and caught 6 nice size SM. All of our fish were caught at about 15ft on sinko's and lizzards off the bottom. (All of our fish lived to fight another day).
Seen lots of LM but just could not get them to hit anything today.
The kid (John) out did me again today on total weight, but I get guide credits. :-)

Hoping to try Long Lake soon...Is the DNR launch that I hear about the one just south of the Little Spokane confluence?

The DNR is about 7 miles past Tum Tum. Lots of good fishing on that end of the lake.

eustace: I typically get 2-3 pike each year while bass fishing but have not seen one this year. I have seen several caught but they were near the Nine Mile Resort. You hear of or see any Pike this year?

We have spent a lot of time on the water by Suncrest and a couple times at the DNR this year. Lot's of time last year at the DNR area. And have yet to see a Pike or have a hit from one. It's my understanding that most of them are in the Tum Tum area, as Scottpratt's knowledge off that area shows. We have a small boat and have not made our way to the Tum Tum area yet.
If we ever pull one in, We will post it here for all to see and then turn it back for another fellow fisherman to catch. Good luck!
