After getting harassed by a few drunks over at Haller Lake*, decided to do some shore fishing at Bitter Lake.
I'm beginning to really love this place. I was using a double tailed grub in a a dark green color with red sparkly things in it (idk what its called...) and I was catching a lmb almost every other cast. mostly were small, 8-10".

highlite was watching a family fishing with nightcrawlers and bobber over on the left side of the shore where the trees overhang. They were catching a ton of rockbass, bluegill, pumpkinseed, and possible a crappie (it was dark...couldn't really see)! In the time span I was there (1 hour), they caught a good 20 of them, one after another.

*what is with Haller Lake...seems like the resident Aurora drunks and methheads go there and harass people or something. Second time I've been there, I've heard racist remarks and second time they took a piss right infront of me behind a bush into the lake...

Interesting... I go to Haller all the time, I have never had this experience. Usually there are a few swimmers who swim across the entire lake. I'll be looking for the weirdos.

yeah I've befriended a couple of the regular swimmers there as I've been going almost every day. I live very close to Haller Lake so its a easy short trip for me.
Beautiful lake, i just don't know about fishing that small shoreline. I gotta get myself a pontoon :/
