Well I woke my 10yr old and 11yr old up at 5:30 am this morning and we took off to lake sawyer before all the water skiers started at 11:00a.m. We started trolling from the launch at 6:00am made a lap around the far south end with only 1 take down from a little 10inch cutt. I was using the needle fish perch color again and my boy was using the UV red spoon at 25' down fish were being marked! We then head to the north east side of the lake in 60' of water 25' down and my kid had a hard hit fish on he said he grab the rod and started reeling it up nice 17" fish as I was unhooking the fish from the spoon kinda looked diffrent I thought he was so happy hmmm I though , well to make a long story short we got home showed wife and 2 younger kids fish and I couldnt help but notice it looked like a salmon . While cleaning I could see the meat was red like a salmon I dont know though could it be a silver? it had black gum line and teeth on the tonge! well that is my storie for the day and any help of what type of salmon it is would be nice thanks.

Definitely a salmon. Look at the forked tail (trout have squarish tail), and the edge of the anal fin is angled (trout's anal fin is vertical).

Nice fish!
