Got on the lake at about 7:30p.m.. I tied on a j5 rapala and immediately had what I thought was a pretty decent bass on about my fifth cast. It turned out to a 11-12 inch trout, but the thing that was really wierd about it was that I hooked it by a piece of line that it had pooped out but was still stuck in it's body. So after we tried for bass till 9 without even a bite, we switched over to trolling gor crappie. I caught a 5 inch crappie and an 8 inch bass. Then, my brother caught an 11.5 inch crappie and his friend caught two crappie. We put three of the crappie back (all except for the biggest one) and the bass back. Still have yet to catch a decent bass on cassidy.

I grew up on Lake Cassidy. Although there are a few big bass as well as catfish the lake is known for producing smaller fish. And lately "not many" smaller fish. I still visit it to re live my youth but usually come away from it disappointed. I'd love to read a report that shows it differently. Keep reporting because I love the lake.
