I got a chance to sneak out to Lake Sixteen to do some bassin after work today...4pm-7pm. It was a bit windy, with a few light sprinkles and a 67 degree water temperature. I swam a 4" weightless yellow rubber worm, rigged with an open hook on my ultra light rod, as I drifted along the shoreline. I caught more than a dozen largemouth bass in the 1 pound range, and many more smaller ones, but couldn't belive it when this 13" rainbow trout jumped all over my bass worm. It was a lot better fishing than what I expected considering the weather, and that this was the first time I've ever been here. What a beautiful little lake... I look forward to a return trip on a calm day.
