Just a couple of Smallies yanked off the bed during the spawn. both caught and released. The 4 pounder was caught off the same bed as last year, almost grew 3/4 of a pound over one year, so obviously catch and relase works pretty good. The five pounder was caught in a very weird location. I seen some really big Largemouth (about 7 or 8 pounds) cruising underneath a dock, and I must have spooked them, couldnt find them. So i cast my tube up under the dock, and as soon as i got my line got tight, it got really slack. So i reeled up my line, and somehow the lure was under my boat. So i threw in the same spot again, and same thing. The fish was just grabbing my tube, and bringing it about 15' out from the dock and putting it under my boat. So the third cast i was excpecting it, and put him in the boat, with a round of applause from the family that owned the dock, and must have been watching me for awhile.
