I had some time to spare and the wind quit blowing so I ran down to Park lake for about an hour before dark. I was only down at the lake for about an hour, maybe even a little less but I hooked and released 3 fish. First I landed a German Brown that was about 3-pounds and then followed up with two rainbows that were about 2-pounds each. I didn't know that where were any brown trout in that lake so I was quite surprised. Those trout sure put up a nice fight on an ultralight fishing rod I was using with 6-pound line on it.

Thanks for the report. I'm headed there this weekend camping with the fam and taking the boat. Just curious were you on the bottom and w/power bait, worm, or what? Thanks!

I am heading over that way from the West side later this summer, we are renting a cabin with the kids. Any tips you can share about the lake to save me some scouting time???

Like the info at the top of my report says (if you are logged in so you can read it) is I fish from shore, on the bottom with a worm. The only thing it doesn't say is that I float the worm up off the bottom with a little marshmallow and use a slip sinker so I can see the trout take the worm without feeling any weight on the line.
