woah, it's been a year since my last report on this lake! so i fished cascade last saturday with my cousin and brother again, this time with not-so-good results. my brother and cousin each got about 4 trout using chartreuse power eggs, but i wasn't interested in the slimers, since i came for bass. i used a couple differnt lures, including a popper, spinnerbait, and some kreature baits. only the spinner gave results. after about two hours of fishing from the research center's dock i hooked into a fairly scrappy bass. i'd say t was about 1 pound or so. i couldn't get an exact amount since it fell off the hook just as i was about to grab it. it definitely wasn't a bad fish though. not that good of a day for me, but my family had tons of fun with all the trout. will be back soon in july when i go camping at moran again.
