A friend and I watched the sun set from the east t-dock at N 64th street. Fished from 7:45pm to 8:30pm. Caught one 10" stocker on the egg sinker on top of a swivel and about a 5', 6lb leader to a hook just large enough to hold two power eggs, 1 orange, 1 chartruese, dipped in Berkley trout dip roe. A little windy, but was still a nice night to be catching rays.

Thanks for the report urbanangler. Did you see anybody catch trout off of that dock as well. I might go there sunday after religous activities. I got skunked there last sunday after scout fishing. do you think it might be a good idea to drop the leader length down to 2-3 feet for midday fishing. I assume that the fish will hug the bottom with the sun beating down on them. I also saw your report on Bitter Lake.. Sounds like fun catching lmb off the shore. Were they of any size? Thanks again - Returnofthefish

Sure, 3' might be good for midday, tho you could start bigger, then clip it down each cast. That dock is a good spot. Also saw some guys catching big trout off the north shore tonite. The bass at Bitter were small yesterday... got to get out into the lake for bigger ones I think. I hope you bag some biggins!
