Got out to Amber at about 7:00 am. There were several other fisherman loading in and about 12 or so on the water during the day.
Air Temp: 54°, Water Temp: 64° (surface), 52° (at 15). Calm most of the day with a breeze out of the SW by midday.
To avoid the crowd I moved to the far end of the lake and caught 4 nice Rainbows on the way up there on a size 10 Six Pack. The largest was 18" caught near the "Red Barn".
Once at the upper end, I changed to my chironomid rig and set up with a 16 black/red Ice Cream Cone. I caught another 10 to 12 fish (mostly Cutthroats!!) over the next hour and a half.
I switched back to the Six Pack and worked my way back to the launch along the north bank and caught 4 more.
A good day on the lake with about 20 fish hooked (18 landed). Size ranged from 14 to 19" with several 14" Cutthroats.
Tight Lines!
