Next thing you know, she'll have perfected a fishing technique, and everytime (and that will be often), you'll have a harder time staying in the lead as the competition grows :o). Joking aside, It's great your fishing partner is enjoying the act of fishing. Keep up the good reports and stay safe out there.

5/22/2009 12:59:00 PMYaki. I've found some awesome lakes using Google Sattelite Maps, It's a great tool for fishing. I use a modified dolley cart and straps to roll my aluminum Jon boat thru the tunnel. It works good, and I strip down my boat to it's lightest, though, unfortunately I accidently broke my transducer bracket mount the last time on my fish finder! Loui. I experimented with my plastic Hellgamites by trolling for trout by cutting action disks from the curve of a Gatorade bottle. The round,curved, clear plastic piece just ahead of the bug made it wobble like crazy after I slipped a small bullet weight right at it's head. I'm thinking that those Rufus Woods Triploids would tear them hellgamites up trolled like this! And yes, Pam just loves to fish, and the other night she was up 7 to nothing before I even touched a fish! ( I caught up though...) LOL You and I have some great girls, don't we? Later, TJM

5/22/2009 4:43:00 PMI too made a set of wheels for my jon boat with a pair of 20 inch bike tires and some 2x4's.It worked great when i trucked down to Rotary and Myron.I threw everything in the boat and strapped it down.The batteries work well as counter balance which makes pushing alot easier.When i went under the tunnel to #1 and 2 I realized my wheels were too wide and the ridges on the tunnel walls ate the rubber off my wheels.Thank god for Les Schwab and their solid rubber bicycle tires.Was back in action the next day.Did have to shorten the frame a bit.Plan on going back down to see how well it works now.That disc thing you do sounds like it would do real good.I bet a streamer like a wooley bugger would benefit from this too.All these lakes around here I do the best with a flyrod with sinking line and an olive wooley bugger trolled real slow occaisionally stripping off a pull of line here and there.most of the time they nail it right afterwards.
