Went out to catch some Macks and thats what i did. This is the first time I have fished for Macks and was pleased at the results. My brother caught a couple trout and i caught both these fish with in 5 minutes of each other. The large one was roughly 10 lbs. and the smaller one about 7 lbs. (our scale is a little out dated and hard to read) The larger fish had 8 trout in its belly rangeing from 8 to 12 inches. Not sure if that counts as going over my limit LOL. But it was a great day to get out there and catch some fish with the little brother.

stmanipulous23: You can snag a ride with me Saturday morning! LoL. I have an 18 ft bass boat (no downriggers) Will this boat work without downriggers and a little lead core? I would be glad to take you along if you want to show me how it's done!

Hey Big Jerm...What were you trolling with and at what levels? I have a boat on the lake and have yet to catch any Macks. I live down on the SE corner of the lake just south of "The narrows". Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

Big Jerm,

You posted a great report...Care to share some more details that might help others that are fishing this lake? Isn't that the whole point of this board? Or are you one of those guys that likes flaunt his catch, then disappears when a fellow fishermen asks for some pointers. I fished Deer this weekend and didn't hit them trolling. Caught a few bows off the bottom with worms and corn.

nycfishguy I have shared plenty of tips with other fellow fishermen and fisherwomen on this site. Yes i do like to flaunt my catch isnt that one of the points of this site. Sorry I didnt have a chance to reply sooner but calling me out isnt gonna help your cause. You can always PM me and i might give up more of my secrets then just posting them out right. Thats why they are called secrets I do a lot of home work when i go out and target a new species. They are gonna be on diffrent patterns now that the water has warmed up and I probably couldnt repeat the same success (until next year). One thing I have learned is you need to adapt to what the fish are doing and where they are located. Good Luck
