We had a great morning on the water. Hit the water as the 7:00am mist was burning off - 58 degree water. Joined about 10 other boats in the dairy-farm-fresh-air. Encountered an ongoing green and blue-green algae bloom that was pretty thick around the edges. Probably won't go back because of it. Saw another fisherman miss a bass. We fiddled around with gear but stayed mostly with worms. Caught four trout, a perch, two catfish and a crappie. All small and released. Saw a cool foot-long turtle. Chatted briefly with another fisherman that had broken his tibia (leg bone) and was out there fishing with his leg propped up in the boat. Another fisherman shared that a 20 pound channel cat had been pulled out last weekend. Doesn't matter if it's just a fish story 'cause it adds to the suspense. Nice weather huh!?!?!?

Oooooo - NICE! I bet a 15 pounder isn't too interested in coming in to the fisherman! Yeah.... there's some big boys in there! I was fishing there a month ago and there were big balls of catfish.. maybe 3 feet across . .I figured it was related to spawning rituals . .most of them were 8-12 inches . .no big ones. Thanks for the update Redd
