After having been locked up in my house with bronchitus I decided it was time to go out and get some air. I headed down to Pond 1. I used a green and chartreuse micro jig and proceeded to walk the bank. I stopped at every opening and tossed my jig in about 3 ft below a bobber. It was slow initially but that is all. In the 3 hours I was there I would say I caught and released more than 70 perch and crappie. Polarized lenses make the difference. Pick your targets.

Hey Jigmeister, give me a call. We need to go fishing up at Banks or Moses lake. You do still have Roger's number right? I have yours brother. Talk to you soon.

Yo Mav. I seemed to have lost Rog's cell #. It's still not to late for Moses Walleye either. Sight fishing for Moses slab crappie is coming up too. Banks will just be getting better and better this month...My girl and I are going camping this weekend up at lake Chelan, so I'll see if I can track down Rog's cell #. Great report brother, from a couple of the best crappie fishermen that I have ever had the pleasure of tossing a line with. ( C. a. R panfish?....a little tired from filleting your last batch?) LOL, later, TJM P.s Aaron and Mr. Carey- This site really helps people to make new friends and great fishing buddies. Thanks for all you do for the sport of fishing! sincerely, The Jigmiester

Mav,
Thanks for the report. I'm new to Yakima. I've driven past ponds 1, 2 and 3 and have wanted to fish them, but was wondering how to access/where to park. The lakes look to be surrounded by the freeway on one side and private property. I know WDFW manages them, but how do we get in there? Tight lines!

dream...Access to those ponds 1 and 2 come via a left turn down a dirt road, past some houses and under an over pass, (down the road several miles past the airport near Buena)...I believe that left tun is on Ford road. Once you go under that overpass, turn left and pass the "Weddings" bill board, and follow the rd to it's end. The metal tube under the Highway is only a short hike to pond 1. If you have any questions give me a call at 1 509-305-1821. Name is Dave. The Jigmiester
