Couldnt resist hitting the lake after seeing the first blue sky in the last few days! Got on the lake at about 5:00pm. I started trolling with a Dick Nite right away. Started out slow, but ended up hitting a small, and i mean small, cutthroat. This thing coulda doubled as my Rapala if i added a treble hook!
After that monster, i decided to still fish with some Powerbait. Didn't even take 2 minutes before i had my first hit. Unfortunately, i was trying to solve the Mariners pitching problems in my head, and i lost the first one. Luckily, it wasnt very long before i had another opportunity. And this time i set the hook with some bad intentions!! This time i was rewarded with a nice fat, sorry, big boned 12" rainbow!
After releasing him, i started back towards the boat launch. It was starting to cloud back up, and was also getting a bit windy. All in all i had a perfect evening. Caught two fish, relaxed on a quiet lake, and got to see an hour or so of some sun breaks!

Milrthme,
See any surface activity? I have not been to Sixteen this year, and was thinking about a bit of flyfishing Saturday evening.

I fished 16 on the 5th and there was no surface activity. I may also fish it Saturday as the weather is supposed to be nice. I hope there is no wind.

Steve, there was actually some decent surface activity. i was thinking it would've been nice to have my fly rod when i was out there. The later in the evening, the better the surface activity was, as usual. Good luck!!
