Got out for the afternoon shift on Whitman, right away had fish on just a variation of the wedding ring in red with a large spilt shot, all stockers but the kid had lots of fun, he was rowing for the first time and casting out and caught four in a row! They didn't want bait for some reason. We caught about 20 or so. When i am fishing for trout i have my pliers ready so when i get the fish to the boat i can grab the line, then grab the hook with the pliers and pop the fish off WITH OUT touching the fish or having it flop around in the boat boat for five minutes before it is released.

I was at Clear lake also on Monday, i caught two stockers on spoons but only trolled for about half hour tried for bass mostly only had one bite at about 20 ft with a tube that had a split shot stuffed in side. Lots of trout were following the crank bait though. .
