Tried loon lake in the morning with limited luck, so we moved to JOJ. The resort on the lake is a great place to launch your boat. The public one is primitive. It doesn't really have any gravel even in the water. I didn't make it on the lake until 5ish. I got to the lake at 3 but found I had a wheel bearing go out on my trailer so I got to spend my afternoon fixing that. But when we got on the lake the brown trout were hitting good. Years past it was mostly bows we caught trolling and browns bottom fishing. We used rapalas and it was killing them. JoJ is a great lake with no big wake from boats. I recommend spending a weekend at the resort and fishing.

Hey nice report. Too bad about your trailer though. Ya i also like this lake, nice and small. Can i ask you what pattern of rapallas worked best and how deep? And anything over 20''? Stay safe out there.

Ok, well i took your advice and went out yesterday evening. Nothing trolling, but i did catch some real nice browns throwing jerk baits. Two fish went 24''. Good fishing. Stay safe out there.

I was out there with him, the trailer deal was a mess. We used a jointed rainbow imitation and a jointed brown/black rapalas. Nothing over 20" but still some decent fish around 15-16".

It's too bad he didn't launch the boat first, I could have been fishing while he fixed the trailer. He would have done that to me.
