Well the weather wasn't so fun today, We launched the boat at around 10 am and went out to the deep portions to try some bottom fishing. Nothing doing. no bites on any lures, any natural baits, and no power baits. We moved to the south end where the incoming water flows...again nothing...so we changed over to trolling slow around the lake like we saw others doing. When we got to the north end we figured we would circle the island once and call it a day. It started raining before we got to the north end of the island, stopped raining when we went under the bridge. We stopped and donated a bobber to a youngster fishing on a dock since he lost his. Caught our only fish after leaving the dock trolling a wedding band without weight about 25 feet behind the boat. Just a 9 inch rainbow, which we released, since it wasn't much of a meal.

The weather cleared up and the wind settled down enough that we could see the fish taking bugs off the surface, so I broke out the fly rod while my father in law continued to troll. After setting it up and getting a couple of casts in it began raining steadily. No more surfacing fish. With dark clouds as far as the eye could see we called it a day and headed back to the boat launch.

Still waiting for the fishing to pick up. Maybe next weekend. Tight lines and twitchy tips everyone.
