Went to McIntosh today to see if bass were biting. No luck on landing anything. Wind was blowing steadily and water temp was at a constant 58 degrees. Water was high as all lakes that i have fished this year seems to be. Was not as many trout fishermen as prior years but probably due to cold weather today. Trout fishermen were doing great for limits. Looks as if the weed growth is going to be heavy this year in this lake referring to what is showing now. Had one tap on a jig and pork chunk in the middle of a brush pile but unable to hook. Had a few of the Triploids planter trout hitting on a gold colored lure but they threw the heavy hardware and were off. Right now any thing almost will work for the trout but looks like trolling or on the bottom with bait gets the bigger trout.
