Went to Silver Lake this morning, got there around 5:40am and I was seeing a lot of fish jumping as it was getting lighter. I fished on side with the 2 larger docks and the one smaller one, where the swimming area is. I fished off the large cement dock to the right. My first couple fish were small stocked fish and they wernt hooked bad so I let them go. Then a few minutes later when I was untangling my baitcaster that I managed to backlash because of hooking a log that was on the dock that I had conveintly pulled out of the water the day before cuz it was going to mess up are lines, right as I'm to the worst of the tangle I see the line for the pole that I had in the water shoot tight and then a nice size triploid jumped, so I was like sweet fish on, I played it out for a little fun on my ultralight pole then brought it in, this was about 6:10 am and after that I sat there for hours and talked to some really nice people and never got another single bite. I left at noon.
Keep on fishing- Micah
P.S. Good luck to everyone that is fishing tomorrow, don't get too many hooks or weights hit you in the back of the head. (speaking from expierience)
