Fished the lake from 11am - 230pm caught one tiny little trout smaller than my worm. When the wind and monsoon like rain started coming down it was like the bering sea for my 12ft aluminum and I decided that when the lightning and thunder started it was time to go. Lake was very cold and bass and Crappie are still in hybernation. I think the lake is one of the beautiful lakes in snohomish county besides the water color. I have had alot of great Bass experiances here and plan to return when the water nears 60 degrees and the rains are gone (not likely).
Water is still very high and boat launch is at about half its normal size...
Please C&R so our fisheries can stay strong and consistant.. Thanks....Fish on....

Alpha,
I have a different take on C&R. I like to eat fish but I don't want to patronize a gillnetter by buying fish in the store. My sport fishing is much less injurious to a fish population than a gillnet. I would never keep a bass out of Cassidy, as it has been a bass lake since I was a kid. I will keep bass out of some other lakes that have been illegally stocked by the bucket biologists.

This sounds like a familiar story for this lake. I fished Cassidy last year right after the plant and nothing! This year on March 23rd 6006 ¼ pound rainbow trout were planted. Then on April 9th 446 1.5 pound triploid trout were planted. I’m not sure why they aren’t biting when other lakes planted around the same time in the same area, like Blackman’s Lake, are producing.
