As you might be able to tell by my name, I target what are usually known as scrap fish. Well, Lake Tapps is the place for that. Suckers, Squawfish, Carp, Bullheads,.... you get the idea. On Sunday I caught 6 big fat Suckers, all on worms. Also nailed a couple of big juicy Carp on a special carp bait, made with jello, marshmallows, vanilla extract, and corn meal. Killer on these big fightin' bottom feeders. Chunks of hot dogs work, too. The great thing about setting your sights lower is the ready availability of game; fish that bite just as well at 2:00pm as other more upscale fishies that need to be attacked at predawn hours. Sleep in and catch braggin' size fish. Remember, size is important in some things.
