So after reading some good reports about blackmans on washingtonlakes.com i decided to go out and try the lake. I had never been to blackmans before, and a buddy and i showed up and it was pretty crowede. anways I just bought my first fly rod and im learning the sport, so my buddy and i put on our chest waders and go out, and every single person on the dock stared at us like we were some freak of nature........never seen a fly fisher before guys? so I was deffintly weirded out so I got in my car and drove to the other side of the lake where there were no people, and after my second cast i hooke a small 6inch trout, pretty lame, and it didnt even take out any line. but was a descent day for learing the sport. and hopefully next time i wont be stared at like im some idiot.

For trout in lakes you never want to go over 5wt, except when there are big trips. The stocked trout in blackmans usually would put up a good enough fight on a 5wt.
