Well it was a fun trip. Fished Rufus on Friday and Saturday and got to see both ends of the lake.
My truck was acting funny on Friday so I choose the short trip to the east end of the lake. We trolled flies, crocs, spinners and jigs and we came up empty. What a beautiful country side though. Water temp was 32-34 and I only seen one other fish caught at the upper net pens.

Saturday was turning out to be the same story. We tried the same tactics between pump 1 and 2 with nothing but a few branches hooked. I decided two follow the lead of the other boats and pull up anchor after 5 hours of trolling. Before I could even get the anchor down I was spotting fish in about 20 feet of water near pump 1. Within a few minutes the kids poles were throbbing... FINALLY!! They woke up and had a good few hours of catching. The biggest was only about 3.4 lbs, with about a five pounder getting away. Weather was great, water temp a little warmer today 33-36. I'll try and uploead a picture when I get home tonight.

Thanks to all that help steer me in the right direction on this lake. I'll be back to try some new tactics next time.

Hey Big Smooth, good to hear your trip went well (kids catching fish). I bet next time the fish will be in trouble as you have a better idea of the area. Great report, and good luck on your fishing adventures
