The rating of 1 is a little misleading. It was a very nice day at Fenwick. The bald eagle was perched and a hawk was flying around in addition to all the ducks and water fowl. The fishing was slow. I used bobber with maggot, fished off the bottom with power bait, and used a lure. No luck at all. No one else on the dock caught anything while I was there, from noon-3 or so. A couple guys that were fishing on the small dock had a strigner full of fish, they were caught in the morning. Side-Note: I think one or both of those guys got tickets because they were using their expired licenses - 08 licenses expired March 31st.

My brother had to get his license this morning before we started fishing because he realized on the way out it was expired...

1 sounds appropriate for your day though... any idea what those other guys were fishing with?

Not 100% sure but I think they were using a piece of worm and bobber....??? My experience at this lake is either use a worm/maggot and bobber or a rooster tail. I've never had luck fishing off the bottom here. One other reason for catching no fish was the fact that it was so bright out; the sun was right over the lake so I'm sure the fish were deep and wary of the birds. On a final note, it didn't seem like the carp (which were supposed to be stocked to control the grass growth) were doing their jobs...???
