We got to the Lake at about 0600 still dark. Started fishing to the right of the ramp no luck so we turned and headed for the east shore line and to our surprise found the whole chunk of south end ice floating right in the middle of the lake so we headed out and around this floating hazard. As we got started on the east side we immediately got our biggest brown of the day a 22" model. We continued down the bank with no other success so we turned around and went back towards the area we caught the first one and got another in the same general area. We found the four we caught all in that area where the beach ends to about the ramp area. A side note for you, there was a guy in a small boat breaking up the ice into chunks that were a little tricky to troll through but we still had a good day on the water. I am sorry we didn't post pictures but as some of you know already I am new to the site but I will figure out how to post pictures. Well I hope this helps you if you are going to Liberty and if you do you will see me again this Sunday trying it, troll slow and have a good time !!

Hey good report, you say you hooked 4 fish? How many hrs were you there? I was thinking about throwing some rapallas toward the bank and see how productive that comes out, i have been doing very well at rock lake that way this year, but i guess every lake is different. Anyhow, stay safe and warm out there!

My buddy's kids went out this evening (around 5:00) at Liberty and caught two NICE rainbows off the public launch. They were using spinners.

We fished up until about noon, we had prior engagements with our wives so we will go back this weekend and try again, so say hi if you see us and we will let you know how we are doing. I think the water needs to warm up a little and then we will be catching a lot more fish than we did last weekend when the water was only 36.4 at the warmest we came across.
