It was a little chilly when i was on the lake today, fished from 830-1 or so me and my fishing buddy each had one bite and missed them. I tried, powerbait, maggots, and worms, both had the one bite on worms. Fished in 6-7 feet of water a few hundred yards off the public landing. Saw a few other anglers on the lake 3 fished next to us, one got skunked the other two had been there before the sun came out and had several nice rainbows between them.

Hey...How is the access onto the lake? I walk with a cane and don't do well with hills. Is the public launched plowed out and how accessible is it to get to the ice?

The access to the lake was fine it was well plowed and getting to the lake shouldnt be difficult at all. The ice however is a little rough, there are old tracks from when the top layer was sluch that are frozen and make it bumpy. All in all it is the the easiest to access compared to the other lakes i have fished this season

I know what you mean. Access to Eloika was murder for me. Had to climb over a wall of plowed snow with my little ice fishing sled.

Thanks for the accessibility info on Silver...I might go out there Friday morning and give those perch a run for their money!
