honestly i was surprised to catch this fish... and what fun it was reeling it in... my buddies and i had no idea on how to troll just used to still fishing, so i had at least 100 ft of line out in the water maybe more, so it took me a couple minutes to bring him in, was targeting trout but ended up with this kokanee, ended up the only fish we caught but had some fun while we were out there, anybody got tips for trolling/how much line to leave out/ tackle to use/ where to go on american lake for trolling? oh i was on the north side of silcox island

Yuk, did you cook that fish before you took it's picture. Maybe that one should have gone back.

yeah that fish is definatley spawned out, and tips for trolling, in the fall i always use a 3 1/2 in. original floating rapala in a silver or silver body and blue back and troll those pretty fast to imiate a scared fish and that always gets me big trout in the fall!
