My wife and I arrived at the lake around noon. We first tried fishing in the mouth of the Lewis river with power bait and then worms both fished on the bottom. My wife caught one nice bow on a worm; all I could seem to do is feed the fish an entire bottle of power bait. After about an hour we decided to troll down by the island as we have always done well there with no luck today. At about 3:00 the wife hung up on the bottom and lost her rig so I re-rigged her using a 1oz instead of the 3oz weight were using and changed my weight to .5oz. We decided to run about half way back to the launch and troll the rest of the way. The wife hooked one while letting her line out then I hooked one then we both hooked one. The short is in less than an hour we had caught 9 more nice trout returned to the boat ramp loaded up and we were on our way home with two limits of trout from 12 to 18 inches. We used wedding rings behind four blade willow leafs; wedding rings were tipped with worms. Water temp 46degrees fish close to surface troll at 1.5mph.

Nice report! Thanks for the info. How low is the lake right now? Can you launch an 18' boat without any trouble?
