Hit Tapps with Muskyhunter.
I had a couple baits that I'm testing for Pro Time Fishing. Tossed those for awhile but it appeared that the tigers might be a little to deep for them. Then tossed a few bucktails with no luck either. Took a break and began targeting bass with a blue/silver x-rap using a technique I started yesterday at Cushman. Cast that baby out and wait 10-15 seconds(its slowly dropping) Retrieve slow but erratic twitching and pauses. A few casts in,I hook my personal best bronzie at around 3.5-3.10 lbs. We weighed him but he was flopping alot, either way I was thrilled. Had a follow from a 1lb smallie but he saw my ugly mug and bolted.
Weather was sunny with a breeze, water temps of 59 degrees.

Bass was C&R'ed to fight another day.

Their was a few boats out there but nothing like the summer time. Saw only 1 jet skier,a few pleasure boaters and only one other boat fishing.
It was overall pretty quiet, which was an added bonus.

Get out there and fish it!! The water level is supposed to be lowered a whole bunch by November first. Talked to a lady on Interlake Island and she told us that there were signs posted about it. Not sure where though. Sounded like she knew quite abit. So get out there!! All the Muskies moved to New Mexico..
