I caught some 30 plus gills. Yes I kept them and skinned them. Its getting cold and I wont be fishing once its too cold.
I fished the docks across from connie's resort "military resort" . Water temp was 62 and depth was 20ft.
The gills were schooled up about 5 ft. down. I just casted my white jig, tipped with worm or maggot, let it sink and
then bam. Lots of gills in Clear these days, if you want some head on out there. I only spent 45 minutes searching till
I found them. Size was not suburb, but acceptable by my standard with winter coming. 7inch to 9 inch, only 3 nine inch.
The rest were between 7 and 8.

Which part of the lake did you fish? 7-8 inch blue gills are a very good size, much bigger than the average most people catch.

I'm not good with north , south ,east or west. I left the launch ,I went past connies resort and headed across the lake towards mallard bay resort.
From mallards I headed straight up the lake to the largest boat docks they have on the lake. I fished all around the boat docks. I will post pictures Sunday if
I get to go again and I will buy a compass to make directions easier.
