The Bass club had a Lake cleanup of Alder. We went (10 of us) out to clean up the boat camp sites around the lake, and was pleasantly surprised that there was not that much litter. After cleaning up we all fished for a while. There were 3 smallies (up to 1.5 lbs), and 2 LM caught (dink and 3lb). The fishing was very tough , but it may be because there is about a million baby largemouth and smallmouth swimming around. Anyway, the fish were caught in the no wake zone of the Little Nisqually. Talked to a few boats, and handed out some lure samples....Great to be with the club, doing something good but the fishing was terrible.........

We did have a fun day out there, thanks to all the campers who have been doing a great job cleaning up after themselves. Thanks again to Brian his wife and kids for the great BBQ afterwards. If your into scuba diving there are 3 big swimbaits scattered amongst the logs in the no wake zone free for the taking, if you can find them.

No wake zone.....good luck getting em. You may have to wait until the water drops, but they will rusty by then I am sure....

I just wanted to say thanks to your club for your efforts. My luck at Alder has dropped off this year. I've pulled (and returned) some beautiful smallies and a few nice largemouth from that water in the past, but not this year. Maybey I'd have better luck going after those swimbaits!
Thanks again
