What a day on Diamond! I caught so many fish that my hands were toast by the end of the day. We went to the far south end of the lake, in the bands of weeds. We fished in between these bands right off Eagle Point (easy to find as there always seems to be an Eagle resting in the snag there) about 150 yards out from the shore.
By the end of the day we had probably caught 150 fish between the three of us. My buddy wanted to stock up for the winter so he kept about 60 fish. Mostly Perch, some nice Bluegill and a number of Large mouth Bass.
I caught the biggies of the day, a 11-12" Perch, must have been 1-1/2" thick on his back (lost him at the boat due to poor handling). I also landed a beautiful 13" Bass.
My buddies were also catching them hand over fist all day. We didn't stop until it got to dark to see out tackle.
We got our best fish at around 6pm, very few other boats, no skiers, no PWC! Light wind, bright sun, 70's
