Went fishing Lake Washington this morning from 7 AM to 8 AM. Using the good old drop shot and worm from the dock in a neighborhood park. At first I got a few little perch, nothing excited about, but then I got this nice smallmouth bass. It measures 15" but don't know how heavy because I don't have a weight. 1lb? 2lb maybe? Anyway, I decided to take it home because I've never tried how bass taste like. Hope it's good. :-)

A 15" bass is generally about 2 pounds. If you want formal conversion tool go here: http://www.bassresource.com/bassfishing/fishcalculator.html

Zigzagg, It's Clyde Hill Beach Park on Lake Washington Blvd. (I measured it again, it was 16", 2.4lb. Nice.)

Hi,
Not trying to cause a ruckus here but isn't there a slot limit on bass on Lake Washington? May want to check the regs on that next time..just sayin.

Muskyhunter:
Statewide regs for smallies (applies to Lake Washington)
No min. size. Only 1 BASS over 14" may be retained. Daily limit 10. Bass may be caught, retained,
and released alive from a livewell until a daily limit is in possession.

muskyhunter,

Just like dilbert quoted, retaining one 16" bass is fine by the regulations. And thank you for reminding me. We fishermen need to remind each other more often, after all, there ARE times when we forgot what the regulations says, or when there are new rules, or some people don't read it at all!
