I CAUGHT THIS FISH THROWING BERKLEY POWER MINNOWS NEAR THE LAUNCH AND I THOUGHT IT WAS A CUTTTHROAT BUT IM NOT SURE .ITS FINS WERE LONG AND THE FISH WAS SLEEK IN APPEARANCE .I THOUGHT SOMEONE OUT THERE COULD TELL ME FOR SURE .TAKE A LOOK LET KNOW IF YOU KNOW .

ive never seen one before this fish ,unfortunately i didnt give him his last rites my bad for not knowing .now i know thanks !

Those northern pike minnows are bad on the salmon and steelhead population. You coulda gotten yourself $4 for that thing! Looks 9 inches or longer to me. http://www.pikeminnow.org/

You can only get money for them in the Columbia/Snake river area after you register for the day. What is it doing in American Lake is what I would like to know? Rob did you give up on the Puyallup?

That really looks like a trout or a salmon of some sort. That looks nothing like a pikie-minnow. I caught a fish afew years ago that looked like a steelhead. Look at the fins..looks like a trout mostly. A better picture in the net or in the boat would be much more helpful...

I took the pic with my phone only for a reference but i was curious to know exactly what it was or i would have taken a better pic.it was atleast 15 or 16 inches the power minnow in his mouth is 2.5 inches .
