Started at 5am at the Alan Yorke boat launch and fished from the dock. The boat launch was closed for the day, so I had to burn some time before heading to the county launch. Caught 4 before I left, 2 under 1lb and 2 over 1lb. Met Dilbert and his extended family at the county launch and proceeded to hit the water. I fished solo while he had 3 in the 14 footer. Started off with a dropshot and got a 2lber in 12 feet on a weed bed. The water where I was fishing was clear to about 15 feet so I would cast ahead to where I wanted to fish. Continued to some sunken structure on the NE side of the lake by the birthing center and continued to hit fish after fish. Fish located anywhere between 15 and 25 feet relating to structure and breaks...go figure. Wish I would have used common sense like this for my past few trips as they were not productive.
