Went out for a little late afternoon fishing. got in water around 4:30 and fished untill 7:00. I went straight across to the island and drifted up and down the east side of it. just using a worm and a little weight. snagged a couple little perch on the south tip, in the liliy pads. Other then that, no action what so ever.

Sorry to hear that you didn't do well at Ballinger. I fish from the dock quite regular and usually catch fish. Next time you go out, leave the dock and go to the right . Stay away from the dock bunch and when you have cleared them start trolling so you are just off the bottom and go real slow. I have found that fishing the north end of the lake from the dock north around to the island . Keeping off the beach 150 ft or so and go round and round. This time of the year it's a slow go,go really slow. The dock boys are using yellow power eggs and a marshmallow. Some use a white egg and a pink egg. When I use the boat I will use a wholly bugger or dick night 50/50 or a black gnat fly size 8. Good luck hope you try this little lake again. Might try Echo lake just south of Costco. I read that it has been producing some off the bank.
