Kokes still going strong. Schools are pretty small but spread out all over. The previous report got my interests going cause i couldn't believe it had shut off so quickly. So i had to go try, BUT I Hooked quite a few, landed about %50 and decided to keep a few this time bagging 5 for take home. Biggest was pushing 16" smallest about 13". Nice and chunky though and total line strippers. Went all light weight this time with no dodgers or anything, just a snubber, spinner on 8lb, 25ft down. I would like to go 6lb but 8 is hard enough to pop out of the clip with an 7.5ft light action noodle, still fun though cuz they tear that pole up. Lake has warmed a bit so probably why they were a bit deeper, but not much. Still running outer rim of the lake at about 40ft.

Thanks for the comments. If you look down 2 reports you will see exactally what i use, how deep and where.

-Mostly i use macks wed rings purple, orange, green gold.
-Yes i do catch rainbows but rarely, and if i do start to catch them, then i know i am too shallow. Easy way to tell if your too shallow if you don't have downriggers and are just using lead. Catch 1-2 rainbows but no kokes, then go deeper. It's strange but just 5 feet will make all the difference. And we usually see the rainbows in about 13-19 ft.
-FISHINROB.....um....i don't need to give you anymore secrets :) Nah what i saw in your reports, nice fish by the way, is exactally what i use. Except in other colors is all. I do retie my original packaged leader with invisagreen 6lb xt to about 32"(lots of stretch) and replace the single with a really small treble. Then a 8" snubber to the flasher. Some people put the snubber on first then the flasher but that hasn't worked for me. It has to be on the spinner side of the flasher. And distance behind rigger hasn't mattered at all. The closer the better so you can get that slack up as fast as possible.
American lake, dang, just another reason to not like that lake(had lots of bad luck there), sorry to hear about your catty, that sux, dang methheads. Been hearing a lot of that lately.
