Merwin 1, me 0 today. Early on I lost a fish and had some strikes, but by 10:00 the action seemed to slow down and other boats were heading in for a break. One boat fishing nearby seemed to have a fish magnet on their lines as the two men caught several silvers by 9:30. I had fun watching them because they were doing so well. I give the day 2-stars given that I saw several fish boated just not in mine.

Most likely those were kokanee (landlocked sockeye), not silvers. I was there on Sunday with my family and we cleaned up on some nicer fish. 60 feet down is the ticket right now. Troll SLOW!

Tight lines!

On the eastside silvers is just another term for kokanee due to their color (not implying a coho). :)
Good job on Sunday. I went deeper than normal but it doesn't sound like I was deep enough.

Mack & Fisher Guy... Good Reports on Merwin! Keep them comming, I seldom see reports on Merwin.
Have any of you fished at Yale Lake?

Its interesting to watch the time of day you are fishing. According to WWWWeather.com/outdoors/fishing
5:00am was the peak time on the 4th. & then downhill from there. I am just starting to watch for the peak times
& try to fish them!
