So I skipped work and decided to take a few minutes and throw a line in up at lost lake. Got there about mid afternoon. Lake is still very high (can't even see the rock in the middle) so limited places to fish. Pretty slow since it was during the week. Cast out 50 yards or so, let it sink to the bottom and float some white and green power eggs on a 3 ft leader. Got a hit within ten minutes and reeled a nice trout all the way up to the logs. Since the lake is so high your essentially fishing over the logs and when that trout zipped under one of em he snapped my line like it was nothing. Spent another couple hours there with no bites. Switched up and tried a couple other colors, nothing happening. Good day, nice weather although a bit windy as usual. All in all, pretty fun.
