I hit the lake about 5:30 am, using my Rapala Minnow on my float tube. Not many people on the lake, so I pretty much had things to myself. Headed to the pads on the east end of the lake and caught 4 decent bass and a bunch of small perch. I finished about 9:30 am.

There were a ton of fish jumping and surfacing, some were obviously very small but others were real big.

I do have one question, if anyone knows. There are some pretty big fish moving in through the pads over there. It almost sounds like large fish chasing something, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know what's up over there?

God Bless,
Ben

Could be Tiger Muskies. They're big too.

Thanks to the quick response guys. I hadn't thought about the carp. I've seen some by the boat launch, but it would make sense if it was them. I'm pretty unfamiliar with the Tiger Muskies at this point. I hope to fish for them someday, but not until I get a boat. I would look real funny being pulled around the lake in my float tube trying to land a big Muskie!

Thanks again.

I'm Sure they are MUSKY. They work the shallows early. Weedy area's are a sure bet.
Take some big spinners next time, Black with just a hint of red works for me.
Good Luck and Bent Rods.
